It was quite the finish to the 2025 regular season, with the final game going back and forth repeatedly during the second half, ultimately coming down to a couple missed kicks in the final minute. It was looking like it would be Baltimore taking the final playoff spot after a missed PAT, but then their own kicker pushed a short field goal attempt wide so we all have to suffer through at least one more week of Aaron Rodgers.
Both the SuperContest and the Survivor pools wrapped this weekend, with one person popping up in the payout spots for both. The SuperContest ended with a flurry, much to the chagrin of those already holding Perfect Week shares. I’ll be reaching out to the winners today to start getting you guys paid. There’s a decent possibility I’m going to hit my EMT limit, so some might not get sent until tomorrow.
NFL Playoff Pool
The playoff pool is set to go now, and I know a few have already signed up. You guys can now make your picks - and just a reminder, the tiebreaker doesn’t mean anything in this one, as we split all ties. It’s 25CAD per entry, and 100% is paid out.
SuperContest
The top spot was wrapped up already, but the remainder of the prizes were locked down in the final week. It was a very competitive Week 18 with what I believe may be a record 7 perfect scores. One of which clinched 2nd place for Wes Wong, and another jumped Ryan Howard a couple spots into a tie with Kyle Reinders. All in all, we ended up with 12 perfect weeks, which dropped their value from 136ish, all the way down to 57 per.
Survivor
While Wes had a great week in SuperContest, things didn’t work out so well as he gambled on a less likely winner, hoping Minnesota would take out some others and he’d score a bigger win. Unfortunately, KC ended up losing late to the Raiders and we ended up with a 3-way year-end split. Kyle Reinders, Mark Vallee and Peter Ironside all earned a third of the pot. Congrats, gents!
Loser
It was a tougher week in the Loser pool, with the popular pick getting a W. When that happens, there tends to be some big jumps in the standings, and this week was no different, with Nick Salaris and Sean Laycock jumping up 8 spots each. Mike Edgar put himself back in contention with his jump of 5 spots to 6th overall. That said, a handful of new playoff teams mean points could get harder to come by.

Shoutouts
Congrats to Kyle on getting in the payout for both Survivor and SuperContest. Since I count full-season Survivor splits as an overall win, he now has 4 pool wins all-time. Some consolation for his fantasy teams crashing and burning despite being massive favourites, I guess?
Dynasty Leagues
If anyone is interested in joining one of our Dynasty fantasy football leagues, let me know. We’re just going through our post-season stuff right now, so I’ll have an idea of how many teams will be available in the next couple weeks or so.
