First off, thanks to everyone for participating again this NFL season. The final game was a bit of a letdown, but the rest of the playoffs were solid. With this, the remaining NFL pools have wrapped, and the winners have all been paid out.
With the NFL pools wrapped, it’s a bit of a break now until the Dinger Derby. I do have most of the groups for that tentatively set up, but they won’t be finalized until March 1st. I’ll send out a heads up when it’s set, and ready to go for the season.
Loser
There wasn’t much for drama in the final game, as expected, with both Josh and Nick taking the Seahawks. Only two entries selected the Pats to take the L (mainly because they were only worth 4 points so there wasn’t much point). The payout was set as soon as the selections were locked. The final standings are available on the site, but Rick Scott, Josh Avidan and Nick Moumos all made the payout. Congrats to this year’s winners (or losers?).
Playoff
Congrats to Jason, bouncing back from one of the worst all-time performances in the SuperContest to win the playoff pool, and get himself into the Top 10 on the all-time money list. Rita Lattanzi-Thomas and Scott Shedden ended up tied for 2nd. Well done, all!
MLB Dinger Derby
Our annual home runs only pool will be available as of March 1st. It’s about the easiest pool you will ever go in. Pick 10 batters from the options on the picksheet. Each HR is worth one point. The entry with the most HR for the season wins. Like last year, I’m going to make it available until the first game on the first Monday of the season, so you’ll have a weekend of action before picks are required.
