We’re down to the final week of the regular season, which means both the SuperContest and Survivor pools are close to wrapping up. The overall in the SuperContest is already locked up, but still plenty to be determined. Only 2 days remain in the calendar year, so I will also wish everyone a Happy New Year a bit early. Enjoy the festivities and don’t drink and drive!

SuperContest

With 1 week remaining, the overall top spot has been locked up with a 5.5 gap between 1st and 2nd. I think this may be the first time in 9 pools this has happened. There was a large gap at the end one other season, but I believe it was under 5 going into the final weekend. Speaking of never happening, the Perfect Week shares are currently sitting over 135CAD. It’s close to 60 more than any other season. One last chance to earn a share and bring the total value down. I’m sure Wes and Andrew are hoping we continue to fall short, and they can keep the value where it’s at, considering they each have multiple shares.

Survivor

All 4 remaining entries get through Week 17, with 3 on Dallas and one that came right down to the final tick of the clock with San Francisco. Good luck to the 4 entries still going. I think next season, I may implement a new split rule if we have a week where everyone loses, but moves on. The remaining entries split half the pot at that point, and play for the rest. Thoughts?

Loser

If you waited to make picks this week, you were probably left behind with 31 point KC playing on Christmas night being the popular pick and taking the L. Not much movement at the top of the standings as a resul. There are currently 4 teams within one week’s score of the leader. Playoffs is crunch time, but a number of high point teams are unavailable, and anyone left can win, so it get’s tougher and tougher, and we tend to see plenty of movement.
